Fantastic!
Our family of 19 had an amazing Thanksgiving holiday at this home. Can’t say more about the host and the attentiveness to our needs while booking and during our stay!! 11 children had an absolute blast swimming !! Highly recommend!!

We rencelty stayed at this location for a Fall family getaway. The house was everything we expected based on the pictures, description and prior reviews. The check in and check out process was very easy. The property management company and the owner were very responsive with any questions or concerns. Great customer service on their part. The great room on the upper level of the house was huge and able to handle lots of people. There are 8 bedrooms with lots of bathrooms and space if you want some privacy. The house is in a great location near the lake, ski resort, restaurants, breweries, places to shop and outdoor activities. We loved the are as it was so beautiful. Definitely a place to go back to.

We had a large group with multiple families with young kids and had more than enough space. We love the layout of the house, especially all the master bedrooms and that we could sit together in a large group for meals. The indoor pool was great for the young kids. This property would have been a five except that the outdoor community pool is closed for the season and had we known that before booking we would have went with another rental house. The state park passes and day access to the beach were nice though.

My family and I take a ski trip every year. This is the 2nd time we’ve been to Wisp, this house was aswome. The owner was so accommodating and sweet. She truly cared about her guest. The layout of this house is perfect for multiple families. In fact the best winter home we have rented to date. We never felt divided, the layout was perfect.

We just returned from a 4-day weekend at this beautiful home. We had a family trip with ages ranging from 13 months to 70 years old. Everyone had a great time with plenty to do. Laurie, the homeowner, was great to work with before, during and after the trip. She answered any questions very quickly and checked with me during our stay to make sure everything was okay. We got A LOT of snow on the day of our departure, and she even arrange a complimentary late checkout.

Highland Manor is a beautiful home in a scenic area that makes for a fantastic getaway. My wife raved so much about the home from her last time there, that I looked so forward to seeing it for myself and I am so glad I did.My wife pointed out a number of updates to the property since her last visit — new plush feeling carpet and comfortable, appealing furniture had been added. The dining room was lovely, with a large table that seats 14 plus bar stools at the counter and pub table that the kids tended to prefer. We had plenty of space for our large party of guests, and enjoyed our meals and game nights at these tables. I have a bad back, and often leave hotels with more pain than I arrive with. but the beds were so comfortable and I was refreshed and felt good when I woke in the morning. My wife commented that they must have updated the mattresses, as they were even better than her previous visit. The hot tub was likely my favorite part of the house to spend time in, and the kids loved their time in the heated pool. I can’t thank Laurie, the owner, enough for the easy way she worked with us and letting us enjoy our vacation in her marvelous home. We look forward to making this a yearly event.
WINTER FAMILY VACATION PERFECTION

Highland Manor was the perfect house for our family vacation that included two families and a total of six children ranging from infant to 8 years old. The open layout let the parents enjoy some space while also being able to keep an eye on all the kids. Not only were there bedrooms to spare, but everyone slept incredibly well. The adults unanimously agreed that these were the best mattresses in a rental we have ever experienced. It is easy to say that the highlight for everyone was the indoor pool. The kids got in it twice a day and wore themselves out, and the parents who weren’t on lifeguard duty were able to take a nap or prepare meals uninterrupted. We all returned from our week in Deep Creek unexpectedly rested with many wonderful memories.

We had such a wonderful stay in Highland Manor for my daughter’s birthday celebration a few years ago. I could not wait to come back, and was finally able to do so last week right after New Years and this beautiful vacation home did not disappoint. Having the hot tub and indoor pool on our holiday is such a treat. We will absolutely come back again

This was our first time in deep creek and the house couldn’t have been any better! it was clean and very spacious, the owner communicated the entire time and even threw in a special gift for my birthday. The pool room was a hit and the hot tub. I recommend this house to anyone that wants to go to deep creek!

The house was perfect for our family vacation. Our family of 15 easily fit into the house with plenty of space and everyone had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. Everyone could fit at the kitchen table and the kitchen was very large. The indoor pool and hot tub were a big hit. The house was well equipped but it could use some updating and the carpets needed cleaning. Otherwise it was a perfect house for what we needed (Reviewed on VRBO)

Our group of 20 had a great time at this home. The house has plenty of space for our families and we really liked the dock slip. It is conveniently located near WISP and lots of activities. I would have loved to have some sort of child proof lock on the pool area – the alarm system was a great but would have been nice to have a lock or keypad for entry. I also couldn’t tell from the pictures how little outdoor space there was. But having the pool made up for that. We also enjoyed the community playground.

My friends and I rented Laurie’s home for a long weekend and had an amazing time! Honestly, the pictures of this home do not do it justice regarding how large and wide open it is. It’s huge! The home comfortably slept all 13 of us and there was more than enough room on the main floor for us to hang out. We really enjoyed the indoor pool in heated room and the outdoor hot tub as well. If you’re looking for a large home to hang out with friends or family then this is your place! Reviewed Originally on VRBO.

Fantastic Sweet 16 Getaway

We wanted to do something extra special for our daughter’s sweet 16 (OK…. just to be honest, it was 1 week before she turned 17 – we were super late on celebrating 16, but we got it in before she was officially 17!) My daughter was very excited to take a birthday trip to Deep Creek with her friends, and I was excited to get to enjoy such a lovely, peaceful environment, which she hung out with her friends.
Laurie, the owner, was amazing, and talked me through everything before we went. I had an extremely helpful list of things we needed to bring, and ideas of things we could do. Prior to completing my booking she had called me to explain that the electric company had come out and run a new wire for the pool, and that the pool was perfectly safe to swim in. She even let me know that she had personally swam in the pool, since the wire was run. She was true to her word — the pool was absolutely great and while we were there, my daughter and her friends spent nearly all 3 days in it and in the hot tub. I got to spent a very small amount of time in the pool and hut tub myself, (when I was able to get the girls to give me a chance) and it was such a joy to use them both.
Besides the pool and hot tub, the house itself is beautiful. My daughter and her friends stayed in the bedrooms on the main floor, and they loved having their own rooms, TV’s and bathrooms. I stayed in one of the bedrooms on the 2nd floor, so I could give them the sense of privacy. My room was lovely — the bed was extremely comfortable, the room (all the rooms actually) were nicely appointed and comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water, despite sharing the house with 4 teenage girls! The kitchen was to due for. I have a very small kitchen at home, so I loved the spacious kitchen, which was fully outfitted with everything I needed, and the girls liked eating at the kitchen island, on the bar stools. I think we ate one meal at the dining room table, but the island was so much more cozy for our little group.
We did leave the house and neighborhood, but most of the time we were there was spent enjoying the house, pool, hot tub, and surrounding grounds. We honestly could have spent the entire trip hanging at the house, and been completely content.
It was quiet and so nice to take walks around the neighborhood, and check out all of the unique homes. However, I could not have been happier with Highland Manor, and will definitely be renting this home again!

I LOVE this house! It accommodated my family beautifully for my Birthday! The owner is awesome! The home is beautiful! The beds are comfy and the kitchen, wowwww the kitchen fit 4 cooks!! It has two refrigerators, two sinks, two dishwashers, awesome gas stove, two ovens and plenty of room to eat with your family! The indoor pool and jacuzzi was perfect! The area has a great grocery story, liqour store and gas station. It is right next to Wisp resort and I believe the largest man made lake! Everything from booking to checking out was smooth. There is plenty to do and all the fun and needed information is provided to you. We are definitely returning!

This location was amazing, I enjoyed every second of the trip from the time I walk through the door to the time I left (one friend even wish to stay longer). The property itself is huge there was so much to do. The listing within the description and pictures are accurate! The owner was kind and great, she is understanding when it comes to a situation. If you are visiting Deep Creek for the first time and do not wish to leave the house. This is the place to go, the house have all the amenities you can think of (Indoor Pool, Hot Tub, Fireplace, Charcoal Grill, and etc.)!

Highland Manor was better than we could have ever anticipated. The house was large enough for our group of 16 to spend time together and alone when we we wanted. We had an issue with one of the dishwashers and it was care for within a couple of hours after reporting it. Now that is service. We would not hesitate to rent this house or any other managed by the Railey Vacations team.

We stayed here in 2014 and it is HUGE, looks like a hotel. You have never seen a more open and spectacular open concept home! It does not have a view but is close to deep creek lake. There is something in this house for everyone, I highly recommend it for family reunions. The rental company was super easy to work with and you will enjoy every minute!

We stayed at highland manor with our son for his winter break. It is located near beautiful wisp mountain. The house is huge and well maintained. Laurie, the owner, is available from the time we requested a booking until we checked out. The indoor pool and hot tub are amazing features to the house. The pool table provided hours of fun. We definitely recommend this property.

All Girl Cousins’ Camp
Highland Manor is absolutely beautiful and suited our family reunion needs perfectly. The living space and kitchen is enormous! We were all able to gather comfortably in the same area. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The owner, Laurie, was so friendly and just wonderful to work with. Our group usually goes somewhere different every year but we are definitely considering a repeat visit. I would highly recommend this home.

Wonderful house
Highland Manor is a great house. There were 8 couples there for a short getaway. There was plenty of room for all of us. The pool and hot tub we we great. The kitchen was so big that we never got in each other’s way. Having two fridges and dish washers was great. Plenty of room for food and beer. Would like to come back next year.

The house is enormous. The main floor has so many spaces all connected. The family could be all together no matter what everyone was doing. We were cooking, playing games, watching football, building jigsaw puzzles all at the same time in the same room. It was perfect!
