According to Beverly Everrett- (my friend and realtor), who has lived in the area for many years-Here is a top 10 list of things to do for anyone coming to Garrett County to go see or do!
1. Simon Pierce Glass Factory – a must! You can watch them make hand-blown glass.
2. Swallow Falls – see where Henry Ford and all his buddies camped.
3. Transportation Museum downtown – all 3 museums are phenomenal
5. Garrett Co. Historical Museum
6. Firefly Farms – wine and cheese tastings
7. Shop at Schoolhouse Earth
8. Shawnee Trading Post – store unlike anything you have ever seen before!!!!
9. If you are into antiques- there is no better place to go than Blue Moon Antiques in Grantsville (I agree 100%)
(have lunch at the Cornucopia Cafe and visit the Artisan Village)
10. Falling Water, which is not in Garrett County, but close. This is Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece. Nemacolin Woodlands-the 5 Star resort Is near by. Their restaurant is amazing as is their adventure zone!
